Accessible for those who want to make the most of the BWCA yet sleep in comfort at night with parking and hike-in-access. Excellent northern lights and sunset views. In addition to several hike/ski/shoe trails on the property itself, two Minnesota state trail heads are within a half mile of the cabin and another just two miles away (the Kekekabic, Snowbank and Secret/Blackstone, respectively). The property is located off of Snowbank Road with several BWCA entry points, including Snow Bank, within three miles (e.g. Lake One, Moose Lake and Ojibwa Lake).
Incidentally, if you like to pick blue and Saskatoon (June) berries, this is the place to stay. We’ve got berries galore!
Although these cabins do not have indoor plumbing or electricity, they are comfortably outfitted. All of our cabins have a traditional Finnish sauna for bathing and relaxation. We supply fresh drinking water from Ely; gas stove is available for cooking; solar lighting available for lighting. In addition, each cabin has a clean, comfortable outhouse. Also, we escort you to your cabin and provide help getting gear in and out. A canoe comes with each cabin.
