Sundew Pond Cabin

Our largest cabin, this "chinker" style log cabin is situated on the shore of a 25 acre boreal pond with a margin of cranberry bog, pitcher plants, black spruce and tamarack. Surrounded by Superior National Forest land, this cabin is accessed by a 2 1/2 mile logging road suitable for mountain biking, hiking and berry picking. Pickerel Lake, 3/4 mile away, allows for easy fishing and BWCA access. This cabin can't be beat for easy access, yet complete solitude. Accommodates up to 10 people. Access by private, gated road. Although these cabins do not have indoor plumbing or electricity, they are comfortably outfitted. Most of our cabins have a traditional Finnish sauna for bathing and relaxation. We supply fresh drinking water from Ely and propane for lighting, cooking and refrigeration. In addition, each cabin has a clean, comfortable outhouse. Also, we escort you to your cabin and provide help getting gear in and out. A canoe comes with each cabin.
