This is our most remote cabin — if you are truly looking for wilderness, this is it. It is a cozy one-room cabin that is perfect for two to three people.
Two and one-half miles from the nearest road, the Wintergreen Cabin is accessible by water only through Ojibway and Triangle Lakes. Once you arrive to the portage trail, it’s a three-quarter mile hike to cabin. Surrounded by white pine, maple, ash and cedar, this cabin provides the ideal escape from the pressures of life. Spend idyllic days paddling or skiing, observing wildlife, or fishing in the solitude.
Only a portage away from the Kawishiwi River, it is the perfect location for many miles of back-country travel in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCA). Here, you’ll find everything you need to be comfortable in a wilderness setting, including a traditional Finnish sauna. Contact us now to check availability or call us at 218-365-4254. A canoe comes with this and all Log Cabin Hideaway cabins.
