If you’re interested in camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area yet want to enjoy the comforts of a bed, a stove and a refrigerator, this is for you! Just traveling to our remote cabins is an adventure! Our rustic hand hewn remote cabins are located just minutes from the BWCA and two lakes away from roads and traffic. We’re proud to tout that these are the ‘most remote cabins’ in Ely!
Chances are good you will hear wolves and loons right from your own remote cabin. Paddling, fishing, skiing, and opportunities for world class nature photography await you at Log Cabin Hideaways remote cabins. If you are new to Log Cabin Hideaways just know that we have been building and renting remote cabins for 20 years. Reserve your remote cabin as early as possible since returning wilderness adventurers have already reserved their favorite and many reserve their favorite remote cabin year after year.
The Triangle cabin is our most popular. Located on Triangle Lake, it sleeps up to eight, includes a cozy cabin with a loft, a three-season screened gazebo, and a sauna and bunkhouse. The cabin is a quick hike from the dock. Bring ‘everything but the kitchen sink!’
Our most remote cabin, Wintergreen is one mile from Triangle Lake and deep in the woods. It is truly a magical place. Winter visitors are brought in via sled. Summer visitors must be hardy and willing to hike in from canoe launch. With this in mind, summer visitors must ‘pack like they’re backpacking!’
The Triangle and Wintergreen cabins share a four-season, approximately five mile trail system made for skiing, shoeing and hiking.
